Tangmarg, April 03: Appealing people to vote for AIP cutting across party lines, AIP parliamentary candidate from north Kashmir Er Rasheed on Wednesday said that Omer Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti and Sajad Lone have conceded their defeat and are now busy in playing dirty politics and trying to do everything to stab people again. Addressing more than a dozen rallies in Chack Sari, Chukar, Mulgam , Lolpora, Kunzar, Aubur, Karhama, Gulmarg assembly segment today, Er Rasheed as per a statement issued to KNO said Omer should feel ashamed for talking about restoration of autonomy and must understand that he is making a laughing stock of himself by talking about restoration of post of Prime Minister and President. “May Omer answer, has he a moral authority to talk about the same autonomy which late Sheikh Sahab surrendered and preferred to become Chief Minister without being member of any house and with the support of those whom he would call gutter worms and ask for their social boycott,” he said. He added that had NC been sincere the least thing Indra-Abdullah accord would have yielded would have been restoration of autonomy but unfortunately Late Sheikh Abdullah surrendered everything to earn fortunes for his near and dear ones. “Before talking about Autonomy, Omer should answer why his party couldn’t do it from 1996 to 2002 and then why didn’t the agenda of autonomy moved even an inch when NC entered into collation with congress in 2008. Whenever there are elections NC’s only slogan in autonomy and nothing else,” he said. Er Rasheed accused NC of diluting the real Kashmir cause and said not only Afzal Guru and Maqbool Bhat were hanged in NC’s regime but the shameless party could not get back even mortal remains of Afzal Guru and Maqbool Bhat. He reminded NC how it got resolution seeking clemency for Afzal Guru sabotaged through Mohammad Akbar Lone who today tries to exploit sentiments of masses just to gain votes. AIP president also lashed out at Mehbooba Mufti for bringing moral of Kashmiris down by handing them over to Sang Parivar after its dirty alliance with BJP. Appealing people to vote for their conscience, Er Rasheed thanked people for their support and said that faith and respect he is receiving everywhere is his strength. He promised to create a new chapter in the history of J&K by speaking for the people and their sentiments in the Indian parliament if given a chance.(KNO)
